Mothers' Day Gift...Poem, Footprints and Frame

We take care of the baby boy of a friend I used to teach with during the week and I try to make little gifts and crafts for him to "give" to her.  I am a little late with her Mothers' Day gift but only because I kept changing it up as I went along.
At first I was just thinking a little hand print and foot print kid craft but then I decided to try something a little more decorative.

I stamped the baby's foot prints on a piece of scrapbook paper, printed a mommy poem over that, and placed it in a frame that I repurposed and embellished.

This was originally a dark frame with a cherry finish.  I sanded it, painted it an off white color, distressed it, and applied a high gloss top coat.  Then I made these fabric flowers and glued them on.

There are many ways you could change this up when making a special gift for a friend or
 family member.
Write your own poem, print a poem on a special black and white photo, just give the frame, etc.
I hope my friend likes it.

The poem I used is by Joanna Fuchs found at poemsource.com.
